Art in Our Park

Saturday, September 17, 2016

12:00 – 5:00 PM

James Ramsey Park

In honour of citywide celebrations for Community League Day, join us and eight other community leagues for the seventh annual ART IN OUR PARK on Saturday, September 17, 2016, at James Ramsey Park, from 12:00 – 5:00 pm. This is a family friendly, free arts festival featuring live music on two stages, an Art Market, the Emerging Artists Zone, and over twenty interactive elements and activities. Be creative and try your hand at Sidewalk Chalk Art, Fabulous & Funky Newspaper Hats, the Paint-o-Rama Kids Canvas, Prayer Flags, Urban Artscapes, Hoop Dancing, a Play Challenge and much, much more!

Enjoy award-winning performances on the ATB Financial Main Stage by Edmonton’s own Apocalypse Kow, Lindsey Walker Band, Jesse and the Dandelions, Martin Kerr Duo, and The Misery Mountain Boys.

Come and join us as we celebrate creativity and community!

Set up/Tear Down: Do you prefer to operate behind the scenes? We need a small army to help prepare and take down the site in the morning and post event.

Interactives: Volunteer at one of our interactive stations. Duties and responsibilities include assisting and encouraging participants as they create and interact. Shifts are two hours long and may include set up/clean up of the station.

Other Opportunities: Share your skills and talents with us! We need photographers, public relations expertise, graphic designers, individuals to assist with data entry, and a committee to help plan the Art in Our Park After Party.
