The Brander Community Garden (BCG) is located in the heart of the Riverbend community in Edmonton.
What do we do? We grow vegetables. We laugh. We grow friendships. We grow our community. All of us involved in the garden have an interest in gardening but are mostly interested in cultivating a community.
The group meets Saturday mornings around 10:30 am (May to September at the main garden site) for communal gardening and coffee. Members can often be seen popping by each day to water, weed and harvest.
Come see the main garden site for yourself at the batting cages located at 14710 – 53 Avenue NW (between Riverbend Junior High and St. Monica’s Elementary School). We have another location in the Brander Gardens housing complex operated by Capital Region Housing Corporation (CRHC).
